We’re so excited to finally introduce ourselves – Priska and Klarissa, co-founders of Sadie, a digital safety app for parents and kids. We’re building something close to our hearts: a tool that helps families build trust, not walls, in navigating this digital world.

Where it all started
Priska, mom to arguably the most handsome toddler in Lisbon (we may be biased), had the original spark for Sadie. Like many parents, she found herself wondering: as kids grow and become more curious online, how do we support them to explore safely, without holding them back?
That question turned into a mission, and then into a product idea.
However, neither of us come from technical backgrounds, so we’re learning a lot as we go, but what we do know is the problem we’re solving, and even more importantly, why it matters.
And despite that challenge, we’ve been incredibly moved by the support we’ve received. From conversations with friends to experienced professionals we’ve reached out to – every message, idea, and connection reminds us: this is something worth building.
So, what have we been up to?
☝️Our first step: The Sadie website is live!
We’ve quietly published our website (you’re among the first to know!) and would be thrilled if you joined our growing community: Raising Digital Kids, where you can connect with likeminded parents navigating digital parenting mindfully.
🙌 We’re getting out there!
We’ve started attending community events like Above & Beyond by Startup Lisboa, and are meeting more people who believe tech can and should serve a social purpose.
📣 We’re actively speaking with advisors
Child and family psychologists, educators, screen-time and digital wellbeing specialists – if you know someone who’d be perfect or want to make an intro, we’d love to hear from you!
Well, that’s it for now – we’ll keep these updates occasional, honest, and human. And going forward, you can expect updates on our progress, learnings, and sometimes… us asking for your input, if that’s alright? 🙂
Until next time,
Priska & Klarissa
